| Jasmine's owner/breeder, Gina Pointing, was faced with a dilemna
when the flat she had moved into would only allow one dog. She felt strongly that
Jasmine should go into a home where she would be shown and bred from. So at
three years of age, Jas came to be part of the Anacan gang. We feel fortunate to have
had the opportunity of making this pretty, typey and feminine girl part of our family.
Only one month after coming to live with Ellen and Richard, Jasmine was shown to BOS at Crufts
and ended up being the Pedigree Chum/Dog World Top Canaan Dog for 1995. In 1996 she took a break
from the show ring to produce a litter with our Digger--4 beautiful puppies. She was then
shown sparingly for a time, but won BOS to Digger at every champion show outing in 1998
and was again BOS at Crufts this past March 1999 with her daughter, Anacan Forever Amber,
taking reserve to her mum.
Jasmine is not a typical Canaan in that she is ultra-friendly--washing every face she
can with that tongue of hers. Because of this she makes a wonderful ambassador for the breed
every time we take her to Discover Dogs. She is a wonderful companion and a dear friend who
has contributed much to the breed in the UK and we are very proud of her.
